I'm no expert on Senator Byrd, but he has certainly changed his spots or whatever you want to call it. American history is full of people who accepted the status quo but somehow they began to see things differently, or their conscience got to them, and they took new, more modern positions.

I'm unclear as to how you can tar all the liberals in America because of Robert Byrd. That doesn't seem logical, or fair.

Did you see this article about the huge growth in the organic products market in America, incidentally?
