ZhongXing Communication Re-obtained Orders from China Unicom 2001-8-14 15:42:04 Recently, China's first 2.5 Generation CDMA System opened in Hainan province. ZhongXing Communication, with its self-developed CDMA20001X products, became the provider again of CDMA networks of China Unicom. It is introduced that the network connecting speed through CDMA mobile phone is steadier and faster than that of GPRS (the 2.5 Generation mobile phone system based on GSM). The tested connecting speed in Hainan has reached over 70K, almost two times faster than that through modem. (Xinhua) chinahd.com somewhat dated but interesting.
