One reason is the media content of Timer Warner getting a new world wide distribution channel overnight to 23-30 million customers for which they could even charge a small fee, a real cash flow generator.

Most of the original Time Warner shareholders have already cashed out even if the above does take some time to happen with the help of QCOM.

A high growth AOL buying a slow growth Time Warner. Time Warner shareholders got a pretty good deal.
