Very very few gang members have actual assault weapons. Remember that by definition an assault weapon is something a soldier would carry ... and this means a selective-fire provision. A semi-auto-only copy of an AK is NOT an assault weapon. It is important to understand this and "push back" against the alarmist cant in the press today. All this media talk of "assault weapons" is a startlingly bald-faced strategy to demonize private firearm ownership.
