Free Image Editing Tools ...

<< I'm looking for a free photo editor for Win10.....any suggestions? >

I do a fair amount of still image organizing and editing of a variety of types and for a variety of reasons on almost a daily basis and for years I've been something of an image editor junkie. These are a few of the mostly free or relatively inexpensive paid editors I keep handy although several are very infrequently used ...

This is a fairly good list with commentary of some of the better available free editors for Win 10. | techradar.com

Gimp and Paint.NET belong in every image editing toolkit. Ashampoo Photo Optimizer 2019 is a good freebie though it will nag one to death. I use paid version's of Ashampoo's Photo Optimizer and Photo Commander but haven't upgraded to the very latest versions yet.

On a daily basis all image organization and viewing and at least 75% of my image editing is done with the manifold editing tools in Faststone's Image Viewer for Windows. It's free (donationware) and I'll devote a separate post on it later today. Another little gem albeit somewhat limited although it has some rather unique functionality I use regularly is PhotoScape 3.7.

It goes without saying that like any freebie you download be careful of the source you download from and be careful of what you click on when installing. I prefer Ninite or Major Geeks as a download source and here are Major Geeks links for two I'd recommend experimenting with:

• PhotoScape 3.7 (2015) | majorgeeks.com

• Ashampoo Photo Optimizer FREE 1.20 | majorgeeks.com

Best, - Eric L.
