That prompted me to wonder just what one calls -- in English -- the citizens of Niger. Apparently it's the French "Nigerien" as opposed to the English "Nigerian" for Niger's southern neighbour. Can anyone confirm this? Omniscient CIA has an answer confirming your guess - from the factbook entry of Niger: "Nationality: noun: Nigerien(s) adjective: Nigerien"
