Damn Lee, That is a real pisser. I learned long ago never to deal with any chain for items such as carpet! Sears, Lowes, etc-- they all are a pain & mostly incompetent. Since they rely on subs at the lowest price,, I have clients asking about kitchens and baths & etc. I tell them if they are going to do the install them selvers or sub the job Lowes, HD, & the rest MAY be OK. Never rely on their labor & I have heard the "delayed" stories on cabinets that are either in stock or readily avail. Lowes tries to kiss butt of contractors & the coffee, do-nuts, & 'special' check out certainly is not worth my agrivation. I buy a lot a HD-- but no lumber or much else I cannot carry & put in my truck. I no longer even go into a Lowes and wish I did not have to even drive past them,,LOL.
Still, it seems like HD needs to get your carpet installedCORRECTLY and then give you a 100% refund.
BTW-- this is one of my fav swing-trade issues so don't kill the cash cow for me,,;-]
