*OT* LOLOL - Well, I am not short right now though I was a couple months ago when I first ran into trouble. I covered on a over sold signal and haven't re-entered yet, though I plan to so let me know when you are out so I can hammer them again. -ggg-
Good Points and I was a bit irrational this afternoon after I received an e-mail from my renters that they want a new dishwasher cause they saw a speck of rust somewhere on my old one. I am not a landlord type and it really raised my blood pressure to have to deal with this instead of being free and clear of this house so I could buy another one out here.
They did replace the carpet 3 months late and it all matches now but no refund, no reduced price, no nothing.
Volcano - I don't know about bad service being every where, I get treated well most places. I had a complaint with S that I took as an all out assault when they tried to wiggle out of a Cloths Washer transmission. They denied it had a warranty which ALL washers sold by anyone, even some kid in a garage gives a 5 year warranty on the transmission. I had to show it to them before they would honor it then they tried to charge me enough for parts and labor just for the labor to change it. I ended up having the local repair guy from a different shop do the whole thing for half of what S wanted and the washer has worked fine ever since. I will never walk into a Sears store again unless one of my craftsman tools break since I want them to eat the free merchandise charge. The new tools I need I will get somewhere else. I now feel the same about HD.
I spammed the YHOO board as well and reading that thing is scary. They have ex employees spouting off about the place though it is a YHOO Board so who knows how many quadruple aliases are on there and how many are in reality 12 year old paid bashers. I did do a search on the net though and found many unhappy customers. A few of the large consumer watch dog groups also had some nightmare stories and many were from flooring.
A poster on YHOO made a good point though, if they just screw up one order at each store a year, that is over 1400 complaints so maybe I was just the unlucky statistic. As you said though, at least give me a discount. I am stuck with a house I don't want now as you know, it was all in the timing of trying to sell my house before the base shut down my unit so I could be done before the market got flooded. Instead, thanks to them being slow, there were 300 other homes on the market by the time I had it ready. Shoot half of them right now are in foreclosure and will get released on the market again next spring. I doubt I will be able to sell it again for 2 years and by then, the housing bubble may be popped.
SOrry to hear you had problems with LOW. I like the one here in Palmdale much better than either of the HDs in Lancaster or Palmdale. Cleaner, more open and everything is laid out like the HD was in Idaho so I can find stuff. I scoped out the HDs here and they were messy and disorganised, honestly without bias. The WMT is the same way in Lancaster. I found it weird that there could be such a big difference in a store that I figured was pretty much the same no matter where you went.
Sorry to hear you buy a lot from HD. Hope you are done with your house soon so they can lose all that revenue you give them. -gggg- WHen you are done, feel free to come over and help me start on mine though my materials won't be from HD. -g- I saw you and Dennis were flipping HD and felt slighted since you didn't invite me to play along. I would have joined you on the dark side at least.
Anyway, I need to run and catch up on my mail. FOr the market, I am looking for a high end of month BWDIK.
Good Luck,
