The water wasn't too bad but if you lost a ball close to the edge, you had to watch out for gators. We saw a couple of big black snakes but no gators. Some of the ladies that lives over there said a few years back a woman lost her leg going after a ball. She swore she never say the gator or she'd have never gotten so close.
