Why did Nevada slam dunk them?

If it had something to do with the impact it might have on the local economy if everyone was betting online instead, then sooner or later they will figure out they are better off if the casinos are making the money as long as people are playing online anyway.

Personally, I thought a lot of the anti-poker push came from the casinos because they'd like to work towards eventually regulating and legalizing it and then taking it over in the US.

The Genie is out of the bottle, but I think there's going to be a huge effort to put it back in before the Feds realize they can't and wind up legalizing/regulating it.
