You made it sound that it was somehow wrong for a political interest group, or any interest group, to challenge the/a President with political revenge for something he does or doesn't do and I just wanted reassure you that is the how the game is played here and has always been played here and the players understand this.

However, this understanding of our system you seemed to lack. He's a President of a particular Party and viewpoint (and not Pope). It's OK to challenge that (within the confines of a certain decorum).

Secondly, I do not understand the arguments that support the opposition to the Keystone (not your arguments per se but the the green arguments).

The resources is going to be exploited regardless of the whether the US allows it or not.

Better to secure the resource from a friendly ally than from a trouble spot.

We need the resource (unless you are willing to pay $8 a gallon) until such time as we reinvent the future (cars maybe converting to ng shortly thanks to fracking).

We have thousands and thousands of miles of oil and gas pipelines crossing the country that work (and are currently constructing more). This too can work.

Canada has promised to restore the environmental damage.

The only argument I can't address is the voluminous carbon argument which gets kind of technical and there's no consensus on.

Peace.
