Hey, given that it was the army, they were lucky they got a guy who could sing a German song. The Army was where Cordon Bleu trained chefs became truck mechanics and truck mechanics became mess hall cooks. One reason I joined the Army was because I was having trouble meeting the language requirements for my BA. I simply have no ear for foreign languages. So, I became a Russian linguist. <G>
