The interesting thing is I was talking to a gold broker this morning, and from what I understand, they are absolutely swamped with orders. The US Mint halted new orders for gold last week because it couldn't keep up with demand, and just recently went back into limited production. So far, gold has been tracking the USD and oil, but it sure seems like somewhere along the line it will have to break out of that pattern to reflect actually supply and demand market conditions.
