According Mother Jones, the Washington Post and numerious other sources, in 1997 he celebrated his 71st birthday with Bill and Hillary Clinton at the White House.

If he was 71 in '97 he would be 79 today, though one reference I saw said he was born in 1925 which would make him 79 or 80 today.
Given modern medical care and his ability to afford the best, he could easily last another decade. But will Loral emerge from bankruptcy with Bernie still at the helm? That was the plan.
