I see Loral is on the Regulation SHO Threshold Security List

and is subject to mandatory close-out requirements for short sales as outlined in the SEC's Regulation SHO.

This may indicate that there might have been some naked short selling or a clerical oversight, however short selling did not sink Loral. IMHO, Loral's management team did.
