My question started off rhetorical to the thread, (but thanks for the update), to continue the point to be patient about the Qcom share in LTE. The same happened years ago when WCDMA subs were at 20 million, about half were EMP the other were non standardized Docomo offerings and therefore IMO not a market QCOM should pursue anyway. I remember getting hammered on the MF board (actually the main reason I switched to the SI board) for posting that the market was still an infant, that Qcom was going for quality and targeting the fat part of the market, to wait till the market was hundreds of millions of subs then measure the Qcom penetration. Since then QCOM has done quite well and the hare has faded. The same scenario may be setting up in LTE. Btw also got slammed back in those days for posting that Qcom was the answer for Nokia, even though back then it looked like Nokia was not then, nor ever would be, in trouble. Wonder what happened to Brational. He also foresaw the Nokia demise.
