Steve, I believe the sale of SNDK shares by Seagate has to do with raising cash for the management buyout. The disk drive operation is to be taken private, owned by its managers. Sale of SNDK shares would help raise cash needed for the buyout. Apparently the theory of management here has nothing to do with flash technology but with the efficiencies to be gained as a privately held company, which in theory can compete better with other hard disk firms, such as WDC.
