Technical Alert:

1. A review of the most recent 3 month chart (from Yahoo), demonstrates an upward sloping penant formation that has been taking shape since the beginning of February, a period of 3 months.

2. Generally, the longer the period of formation for this type of shape, the more predictive it becomes as an indicator of a future price move.

3. Three months must be considered a fairly long period for this type (upward sloping penant) formation. Often they are formed in a week.

4. Generally, a longer period of formation is not only more predictive of an upcoming price change but the amount of price change is often a function of the length of period of formation...the longer the period of formation, the greater the price change....

5. By extrapolation on the upper and lower boundaries of this penant formation, it is apparent that closure will occur at the latest in about 2-1/2 weeks...but it could occur much sooner.

6. Assuming stable general markets, and given the exceptional underlying fundamentals for AMD (relative to any/all companies within its industry), I can only assume the direction of the price change upon breakout of the upward sloping penant formation will be upward and significant owing to the relatively lenghty period of formation.

7. A test of $120 +/- $5 by the end of May and possibly much earlier is supported by the technical pattern currently in place!
