BTW gg, it was you that asked me if it was wise for me to be completely out of trusts a ways back eh :o) Frankly I was blindsided on this.. I was out because the yield had gotten far too low for the risk IMO.

As I've pointed out in other posts the government had many options to put an end to further conversions where not wanted. This was juvenile at best, or just another tax grab to double tax the existing trusts..

Did you read the Stratfor article posted on oilsands ? That made me chuckle.. The conservatives aligned with big business..

The trusts are in an interesting valuation range now..
How many will opt to be regular companies now and suspend distributions altogether.. I think the next four years will be interesting for traders..
