Raju, you wrote

See, the problem is what he (Desai) is going to do after the sale ? Sit at home & watch standup comedy ?

If I tell you a stock like SYNT, selling at 9 bucks and that can go 50 bucks very quickly, would you be interested? Mr.Desai can do it again starting another venture and cashing out this.

Cascade Communications did the mistake of not accepting CSCO offer of $90. Within months their stock plummeted and got acquired by Ascend at 32 and it is still lower as of today. Founders of Cascade including Mr. Deshpande left with lot less stock value than they could have got.

The skill sets to mange a billion dollar market cap company is different compared to a startup firm. Mr. Desai is the one who knows what his capabilities and ambitions are. He might be inclined to quit at the peak and start a new one by maximizing the past and potential future gains, like Seinfield. Or he might be like Dave Duffeld of Peoplesoft continuously cranking and challenging all the big software firms.

Let's wait and see.
