I totally agree about your views of Maria. IMO, what has happened at CNBC with Maria is that CNBC thought they could "grow" their own business "expert"/personality rather than go out and hire an already established one. Maria is a poor excuse for a business journalist, anchor or whatever one chooses to call it. (She does some of her reporting duties okay, like her NYSE floor reports, but her anchor abilities stink IMO.)
