Praxair to Purchase Rolmaster Industrial LTDA
INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 1, 1997--Praxair, Inc. (NYSE:PX) and Rolmaster Industrial LTDA announced today that Praxair's wholly-owned subsidiary, Praxair Surface Technologies, Inc., has completed the purchase of Rolmaster. Terms were not disclosed.
Rolmaster is the leading supplier of laser and mechanically engraved anilox rolls and other products and services to the printing industry in South America. It has annual sales of US $8 million and operates a manufacturing and development facility in
Pinhais, state of Parana, Brazil.
``Rolmaster represents a strategic expansion of Praxair's printing capabilities and will provide opportunities to expand into other industrial markets in South America,'' said Praxair Surface Technologies president Thomas W. von Krannichfeldt.
Praxair Surface Technologies is a leading worldwide supplier of powders, coatings, and other products for a variety of industries including aircraft, printing, textile, chemical, primary metals, computer and optical. It also provides aircraft engine and airframe component repair services. Annual sales for 1996 were $311 million. Its parent company, Praxair, Inc., is the
