Jim - I have a lot of family in New Jersey, and live in Houston. We just got through an especially hot couple of weeks, but weather today is about perfect - mid-80s. I have had bad luck the last few years on the trips to see family on the east coast - the weather was hotter than Houston each time. I also have some family in Florida - some in Tampa area and some near Jacksonville - and I like the weather here better than there for the most part. Houston in the summer is made livable by spending most of our time in the pool. From mid-October until May, I think Houston is as nice a climate as anywhere, and way better than the midwest, where I grew up.
