Ron Paul makes a big mistake.

Much as I agree with Ron Paul on foreign policy and the Fed, he has gone horribly wrong on the medical care issue.

It is one thing to oppose the new health care bull or providing care to illegal immigrants, but Ron Paul has put his head on the chopping block by asserting that AMERICAN citizens have no right to health care at all if they cannot afford it. This simply is beyond the pale; every other advanced industrial society provides health care to all citizens, usually via a single payer formula.

Ron Paul, IMHO, has destroyed the chance that his movement will ever garner mass support by his callous indifference to the medical needs of the American people. And that is a real tragedy.
