Re: Elsewhere in the investment world --- DG .. LLY .. NVDA

In this segment I am going to list buys or sells in portfolios that I manage for others that are separate from the 3 public portfolios I manage.

Today's Buys:

Dollar General Corporation (NYSE: DG) added to a strong record of earnings beats on Thursday while raising sales forecasts for the full year as consumers continue to seek bargains.

“The quarter was highlighted by same-store sales growth of 4.6%, a slight increase in customer traffic, accelerated growth in market share of highly consumable product sales, and double-digit growth in EPS,” CEO Todd Vasos said. “Looking ahead, we are confident that our strategic actions, which have transformed this company in recent years and solidified Dollar General as the clear leader in small-box discount retail, have positioned us well for continued success, while supporting long-term shareholder value creation.”

Citi bullish on Eli Lilly as it significantly boosts price target; sees 16% upside
Analyst Andrew Baum upped his peak Mounjaro (tirzepatide) forecast to more than $25B from $15B due to conversations with physicians and payers. The once weekly injection is approved for diabetes, but Lilly is eying Mounjaro as a weight-loss treatment which would greatly increase revenue.

"Given the historic outperformance and the 2x sector average multiple, the tolerance for risk is low," Baum wrote.
