Some of that has to do with ALLC's capital structure. alliedcapital.com From what I can tell, the div. payout amount and associated ratios are consistent historically, and this has not posed a problem for ALLC or stockholders. That's imo, and of course, I could very well be wrong now given today's economic realities.
