<OPEC-10 holds 2.5 million bpd spare capacity-IEA

LONDON, May 12 (Reuters) - The 10 OPEC oil producers with output quotas hold 2.5 million barrels per day of spare oil production capacity, with almost half in Saudi Arabia, the International Energy Agency said on Wednesday.

The IEA, which advises 26 industrialised nations on energy policy, estimated OPEC (News - Websites) -10 production
capacity at 27.90 million bpd, against April production of 25.43 million bpd.

It pegged Saudi Arabia's capacity at 9.5 million bpd and the kingdom's current production at 8.29 million.)
