I just wonder how an average user is going to return a motherboard for replacement.

I think we all realize that's probably a rhetorical question. However, I suppose Intel could try something like they did with the fpu recall and make people send them the defective product. Wasn't there some bad pr over that?

Industry sources said Intel has purchased up to a million pieces of PC700 Direct RDRAM, although the Intel spokesman declined to comment on how many chips Intel has stockpiled.


Talk about creating a market! Maybe those conspiracy theories aren't so far fetched! ;-)
