If you had been living in Hiroshima at the end of WWII and your neighbor told you that the US could drop a nuclear bomb on the city, you would have tried to deny the importance of that information by telling your neighbor he was offering "gloom and doom".
Just because something is gloomy and doomy doesn't make it untrue.

You fail to see the logical fallacy of accusing me of "gloom and doom" as a means of countering the facts.
That's not at all very intelligent of you. No surprise there though.

Whatever you claim to have been listening to since the '60's, there have been no historical parallels to what is happening NOW.
The logical fallacy of your "since the 60's" argument would also have you believe that a week of rain would mean it'll rain forever.
