Hi all. Recently discovered this thread and have been enjoying the high level of knowledge. I think I have a question but I'll have to describe my setup to clarify it.
I have a 266 PII w 128M RAM running Windows 2000 advanced server. It has two 3com ethernet cards; one attached to a cable modem to the internet and one on the intranet. The intranet has two wired PCs on the hub plus a cordless proxim ethernet bridge connecting three wireless computers to the network.
I have set up the internet connection sharing and it works great for all the PCs. They all have their own mail accounts, etc. In fact the internet seems to work faster over the proxim network than regular disk and printer sharing. Anyway, the intranet is running Netbeui, has sharing enabled for files and printers and uses the 192.168.0.? addresses. The internet card has only TCP/IP enabled and has an address assigned of 24.13.???.???.

As I said everything works beautifully from everywhere, but I have no idea what security problems I may be facing or how to fix them. I would like to use Win2000 security features if possible, but would not be averse to third party software.

Thanks,
Steve
