Right on both counts. Obviously you know Amelio as I do.
Apple has a reputation for hiring losers and getting rid of people who could help them. I gave up on these clowns when they hired Scully, then to cap that they hired Amelio. They deserve to go broke.
Oh yeah! regarding their quality; the first people they laid off where quality engineers.
