Joe, And just what has Obama done since he took Office?

1. Extended those tax cuts you say we couldn't afford for two more years.

2. Give further tax cuts we can't afford. He reduced FICA the very tax that funds Social Security.
3. Unfunded and unapproved military action in Libya.
4. Passed a health care bill that in the end will add far more to the deficit than Medicare part D.

How is that hope and change working out for you?

I agree with you that Obama at this point has not resisted the Republican's thrust for cuts outlined in your #1 and #2. On #3 the US had a part of the unified World sanctioned attack to protect the Libya people. If we had not participated what would have been the Republican attack against Obama?

On #4, I believe that the Federal Dept of Health Commissioner will be able to force Healthcare providers (Insurance Companies, suppliers, etc.) to become more efficient and bargain lower healthcare cost to us the consumers. Three years ago, I attended and AARP Leadership meeting in Washington, D.C., where it was proposed that Health Commissioner be granted the legal authority to bargain with the healthcare providers. It looks to me that this legal authority will be provided as proposed in the healthcare bill and lower our healthcare cost going forward.
