RE: "It's documented pretty well that it was used as a training camp for terrorists."
It was HYPED as a training camp for terrorists. Like most of the pre war hype, the claim was eventually completely discounted. The fact was it was used as an anti terror, anti hijacking training camp. You'll find that virtually every country in the world has similar facilities, for similar purposes: to train security personnel.
RE: "what do you think he did with the chemicals he used on the Kurd men, women, and children?"
First of all, those chemicals were supplied by the US, and the US provided technical observers to watch every shell that was fired. In answer to your question, those chemicals have a shelf life of around 5 years. Aside from the fact Iraq had fully complied with UN sanctions to destroy all chemical weapons, even if they had kept anything left over from before the first Gulf war, it would have long since turned to harmless goo.
It's a mystery to me how Bush supporters are able to cling to the level of ignorance they display. 400 UN weapons inspectors went over every inch of Iraq for 3 months prior to the invasion. For all practical purposes Iraq had demonstrated they were in total compliance with UN sanctions when Bush ordered the attack. Had Bush not ordered the attack, and with Iraq in total compliance with UN sanctions, the sanctions would have been lifted and Iraq would have had unrestricted access to the world's oil markets. Instead of $2.70 a gallon, you'd still be paying a little over a buck. Do you really believe 2000 dead soldiers, deficit military spending, and windfall profits for oil companies and war profiteers is a good thing for American citizens? Are you really that stupid?
