Steve, the flaw in the Pentium was minor (and I'm a Mac user!), AOL's flaws are deep and festering. AOL will survive, but as an investor I have to consider whether AOL's non-existent earnings and cash flow can continue to support its current stock price.

In the short run the markets can be highly irrational, but in the long run the fundamentals will prevail.

AOL is a commodity provider for internet access. Most of the other ISP's are barely making money, what makes AOL think it can do a whole lot better?

PS; What do you use for web access? I use earthlink and am very satisfied- but I did not partake in its IPO which was met with a lukewarm reception on the street.

Regards, John
