Vitamin D is getting a lot of attention now in medical research as are so many other natural remedies like Curcumin. So hopefully things will change.

I agree we could use more leadership from academic clinicians.
Especially when the same condition can be treated the same, if not better, for cents on the dollar. The best initial regimen for hypertension is still a thiazide plus beta blocker, drugs we've had for 40 to 50 years - one wouldn't know that if one went by what's being promoted or prescribed.
