Interesting idea. I have no specific technical assets that I can share with other members of the "company". I am relatively new to the antics of the market and have been following (lurking) both the 97 and 98 short threads. I have participated occasionally in the Asia Thread since I am located in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

I am not a heavy traveler, but in the last 6 months have been to Taiwan, San Jose, Bankok, Singapore and Shanghai on business trips. I am involved with a joint venture of a US High-Tech company and a quasi government agency here in Malaysia. We are involved with high-end computer graphics and broadband networking aimed at the Multimedia marketplace.

I would be happy to be of help in any way you folks need. My background: Retired Military; lots of hands on start-up experiences in the states; business consultant (manufacturing and process development); and currently a full time ex-pat trying to teach the Malaysians how to do a US style start-up.

I've been in Malaysia for over a year on this trip and most likely will be here three to five more. Areas that I can be of help include offshore sourcing, manufacturing, limited financing and the local ear to the ground.
