I received the following news release via e-mail late last night from PGD. I have no idea what Barrick is up to, but the timing of this news release is unusual, to say the least, and has absolutely zero credibility, in my opinion. There is no doubt in my mind that Barrick will be mining gold from Golden Ridge at some point in the future. Terry TORONTO, CANADA: Pangea Goldfields Inc. has been informed today by Barrick Gold Corporation that Barrick as the operator of the Golden Ridge Joint Venture reached a determination that, at the current gold price, there was not sufficient economic merit to justify further exploration spending by Barrick on the Golden Ridge Joint Venture property. Barrick confirmed to Pangea that its offer price for the shares of Pangea remains unchanged and reflects Barrick's determination regarding the Golden Ridge Joint Venture.
