Integrated Control Center Debuts at ITC

Exigent subsidary Software Technology, Inc. (STI) today announced the introduction of the STI Integrated Control Center . This important new "commercial off-the-shelf" (COTS) satellite industry product has been in development by STI engineers for more than a year.

A study this month by industry-watchers Frost & Sullivan of Mountain View, California, shows that the target market for just the software component of the Integrated Control Center is expected to rise from $99 M to $123 M per year during the period from 1999 through 2001. When hardware sales are included in the mix, the numbers rise dramatically from $433 M to $608 M for the same period.

Firmly based in the proven technology of OS/COMET, STI's extremely successful command and control environment, the Integrated Control Center is a versatile, extensible, and scalable suite of services and equipment that combines industry-leading hardware and software products into a single universal solution. The ICC can be used "out of the box" in its standard form, and yet is highly customizable for special customer applications.

The purpose of the ICC is to provide seamless software reuse and automation across the whole mission life-cycle, from early mission planning and modeling, through vehicle testing, all the way to on-orbit spacecraft management. The ICC is designed to handle projects ranging from single satellites to the very largest of constellations.

The Integrated Control Center merges the capabilities of the satellite industry's most expert vendors, bridging the gaps between them with custom software, while the whole system is supervised by OS/COMET.

Suppliers currently providing important elements to the ICC include:

Analytical Graphics, Inc.
Satellite Tool Kit - "STK"
Gensym Corp.
Intelligent development environment - "G2"
Pacific-Sierra Research, Inc.
Generic Resource, Event, & Activity Scheduler - "GREAS"
Science Systems plc
Universal Intelligent Tool Kit - "UniT"
Software Technology's Integrated Control Center will be demonstrated to the industry public at the International Telemetry Conference, which will be held from October 27 through October 29 in San Diego, California. Visit us at Booth #805 to see the ICC in action, or to discuss the incorporation of your world-class COTS application into this powerful product.
