Do you really want lawmakers picking the next President? My answer is, in this case yes That will lead to a constitutional crisis and polarize the people even more than now. The dems and repubs will HATE one another with a passiona and will NEVER get along. The supreme court interpreted the laws that gave a mixed message. next time the lawmakers will learn to have better sense than to come out with confusing laws. maybe they will learn to come out with very few laws as opposed to making this country nothing but laws that no one including the lawmakers understand and thereby make everyone violate one law or another and go so far as to make someone a criminal.
