"The five-year breast cancer survival in the U.S. is 90.1%. The five-year survival for breast cancer in Europe is 79%. American women must ask themselves one question: Is cutting the budget for screening mammograms in half worth this 11.1% drop in breast cancer survival? "

Sneaky. Notice how the author elides. First she states the difference in 5 year cure rates, then implies that the difference is a function of screening mammogram guidelines without actually so stating or demonstrating any connection at all. Readers come away thinking that the difference in cure rates is a function of differences in guidelines without the author ever having to prove it or overtly lie about it. Excellent example of an all too common practice.
