This is a chain reaction. When the stocks price are moving down,
analysts have to downgrade the stock so they can take credit for
"forcasting" the trend. When the analysts downgrade a stock, more
people sell the stock because they believe in the analysts. Most
analysts need to downgrade the stock so they don't look stupid. More
people sell depend on the grading from the analysts. So, the
analysts are almost always right because most people do what they
recommend. Is that a snow ball effect? Those are the same analysts
who recommend COMS as buy/strong buy when COMS is 70+ per shares a
few weeks ago.
