Mark,
Until I hear of a tighter supply picture for capacitors & passive components, I'm not putting money into AVX and Kemet. Supply is increasing rapidly, and that will be a dark cloud for quite some time.

I also plan to buy some puts on selected semi stocks later this week, unless some news changes the outlook. I'm also using this rally to sell some stuff and reduce risk. If I hadn't used puts a few days ago, the paper losses would've been quite severe for me. This correction serves me right for getting too aggressive. I was spoiled by the awesome upmoves in DDIM, AMTX, etc. They were 5-7 baggers only 3 months after I bought them in Feb. or March.

The correction still hurt my portfolio overall, but I closed the profits on the puts. I should've bought more puts since I saw it coming. I didn't expect my communications and software stocks to be hit so hard. Next time I'll know that everything gets whacked no matter how good the fundamentals are.

Semi's still haven't bottomed until supply-expansion plans are significantly put off. We've only seen the early stage of capacity downsizing.

Good Luck,
Philip
