Thanks for the additional info. Without Sid Meier Spectrum Holobyte has a problem. You would think Spectrum Holobyte would do everything in their power to keep the guy, much like companies like Sega do everything they can to keep AM2, their top game design staff around.

One prime example of a company that made the dire mistake of losing their top game design staff was Apogee. Id Software was originally part of Apogee and they released Wolf 3d through them. As you people know Id is responsible for the creation of Doom, Doom 2, Heretic and Hexen. This was all done after they left Apogee.

Now Apogee has a division called 3d Realms who is respsonsible for Duke Nukem 3d, the one and only Doom killer. You can bet Apogee learned their mistake with Id and is doing everything they can to keep 3d Realms a part of their company.

What I'm getting at is Spectrum Holobyte is so obsessed with 'cutting the fat' that they're also mistakenly taking away their vitals as well.

One thing's for sure though, this company is going to be a good short term bet. They've already made huge profits off of Civ II and will make plenty more. This company has been in the red for awhile so when the results of cutting staff along with huge profits come along for the next quarterly report.... things should happen with the stock.

In my opinon, just don't hold the stock til Christmas.
