Cameron,
In reply to your statement as to ,"can the company tell me earnings", well that is not what I said. I said the company called me and informed me as to EXPECTED EARNINGS for the 3rd quarter due to my own request as a major share holder. Of course the SEC requires companys to maintain a policy of no pre-mature earnings report STATISTICS until the rest of the street knows. It is still legal to ESTIMATE EARNINGS by a company and I will also add that usually the estimates are lower than expected on purpose to show a better result at posting!!!!Possibly you might think about reading up on William O'Neills book on Wallstreet, or other popular books out their currently including the one just out by CNBC's one and only! Many times these information sources are more relevant to investing than ANY charting information.Just having a handle on GENERAL information on the stock market and how things operate is much more useful than trying to use complicated charting jargon!Another useful tool is to subscribe to Investors Business Daily which also can teach you many things.
