Rick, Great analysis. Recently, I moved to Boston/Cambridge area and happened to get an investor package from Ariad. I am not a biology guru by any means, but my wife is. She immediately recognized those big names on their scientific board and great technology they licensed from Harvard/MIT/Stanford. As a matter of fact, she is working on gene regulation and chemical biology and probably will collaborate with a couple of guys from their scientific board. We both are very impressed with this company TECHNOLOGY WISE. From investment stand point of view, I think that it will take long time for the company to cash in their technology and make their stock take off. If you are long term investor, this should be a good buy although some news may push the stock up sharply tempararily in the near future. by the way, Ariad is within working distance from where I work and I may stop by someday to check the company(great location at University Park near MIT). Disclaimer: I do NOT own any ARIA at this moment and this is my own option and do your own research.
