I am not in the camp that says EW does not apply to individual stocks, never have been. They have worked for me better than the indices actually. I think only larger time frames should be used though, screw the wiggles.

Sometimes stocks wave perfectly, but that is not that common. Classic TA is the check and balance. Although I must say that ENER is a straight wave play:
