It is anything but an iPad killer, but it seems perfect for Chuck. Did Apple lose an iPad sale? No, Amazon got an up-sale from what we would have done which is buy a standard Kindle. From a business perspective, a bigger question is "will Check buy any more stuff from Amazon than he would have without the Fire?". Otherwise they just sent him $XX.
