pk, good article. the double standard is easy to see. there is no doubt that

1. israel and its supporters are under attack.
2. israel forcefully stole land from many of those now attacking them.
3. throw in the religious value of the land under question...

based on #1, #2 and #3 there is no workable solution. this will get uglier, imho.
