OT: Intel files patent for 'Software Defined Supercore' — increases single-thread performance and IPC by mimicking ultra-wide execution using multiple cores \| Tom's Hardware share.google Would this be done by the sharing of registers between cores? The straight splitting of instructions across cores seems like it would be just an extension of standard multi-core operation with the exception of instructions coming from the same program or routine.
