AOL Cancellation Letter:

(Some one should put up a web page that write a cancel letter to AOL! make it easy!-
Right NOW AOL puts up a good fight - offering all kinds of freebies and quite often
requiring a follow up call!)

Why a web page. Just copy and paste the following letter and e-mail it to
them if you can get it to work.

START

Dear America Off Line: oops... On Line....No I really mean Off Line...

I've been trying for days (make that weeks) to cancel this service but
haven't been able to get my AOL e-mailer on line long enough to even connect.

I tried calling, you know with a phone, but your lines was too busy too.

So I was going to send this to you via Carrier Pigeon but just found
out that the Pigeons are all extinct.

I there for am giving this letter to a local lawyer who has donated his time
to deliver a million of these letters via a CLASS ACTION SUIT.

In addition to cancellation we want a refund going back to the date
you went to unlimited (non)service. Also we want damage awards for
all the money it cost us from keeping up on the stock market.

We especially expect damages from the date your stock started to plunge
and we were not able to get on line to see it and buy put options or
to sell the stock short.

Also, damages for all those bounced electronic checks, the chicks we
couldn't meet in the chat rooms, and psychological damage we have for
being deprived of our on line time.

Also, you must stop the 50 hour free time TV ads. We pay $19.95 a month
and can't get a half hour of paid time.

Sincerely,

Your Public
